1. What makes garden chairs and sun loungers suitable for the outdoors?

Every material used in these seaters can resist the elements in some way. Aluminium frames, for examples, have natural corrosion protection, whereas resin is known for its strength and durability in many environments. The fabric in our hanging units has anti-UV properties that stop the colour fading in the sun. If its meant for outdoors its built for outdoors!

2. Do I have to care for my garden chairs?

If you would like them to last longer then YES – wood and resin should be washed with a soapy cloth every few months. Our fabric and aluminium chairs are designed for lower maintenance. And to clean our hanging fabric chairs, simply machine wash on a cold setting between uses.

3. How do I clean my garden chair cushions?

Our cushioning is machine or hand-washable, as long as you don’t go above 40°C. Refrain from using abrasive chemical products on the cushions we provide, and always air dry. A quick, frequent wipe down with warm soapy water always makes this process far easier especially if your garden chairs are positioned under trees (bird droppings, tree debris, limited sunshine). 

4. Are outdoor rattan chairs natural or synthetic?

Rattan is a popular material when it comes to outdoor furniture and you will likely find both natural and synthetic versions available for indoor and outdoor use. Cuckooland stock a wide range of rattan furniture, with our synthetic version made from high-grade weather proof fibres, which can withstand rain and the dulling effects of prolonged sunlight.
